Energy healing offers a perspective on the evolving nature of motherhood and creativity

I wonder if any word evokes the powerful feelings that the word “mother” can for so many of us.  When I think of “mother” I recall my own mother, how much I adore my children, and the things I wish I had known or done better as a mother to my grown daughters.

I think of Mother Earth, and even the creative projects I am loving or “mothering” into being individually or with others. 

Whether or not we are a biological mother of other human beings—and indeed regardless of our sex or gender identity—we all have the capacity to mother.  What I mean by that is that the energy of Mother runs through all of us. 

Mother Energy is always there for us. If you are seeking maternal energy right now, She is seeking you. 

And She has something to teach us all right now. 

Turning point

At this important creative point in human history, Mother Energy is calling us to return to our personal truth and Soul identity, and in becoming aware of our soul’s truth, to see unity in all things.

Mother Energy is calling us to perceive reality from a nurturing and creative point of view, not from the one we inherited culturally—a perspective of separation, competition, and our vast ability to engage in “othering” anyone who is not like or does not think like us.

Mothering is entering into the creative flow that allows life to evolve, amplify, diversify, nurture, create, reveal great beauty, sustain through connectivity, balance, harmony and reciprocity, and, most essentially, to be ruthless with the ideology of doing the most good and least harm.

The word “mother” comes from the Latin root “mater,” and is related to the Latin “matrix,” meaning “womb” or “source.” 

What’s giving birth in your consciousness right now?  How are you evolving in the womb of your own life? How are your relationships growing or changing?

“C” Consciousness and “c” consciousness

Energy healing invites us to loosen, loosen, loosen—our body, our perspective, our beliefs in what’s possible, and, inevitably, to loosen our inherited concepts of the nature of reality itself.

The energy healing perspective on life and healing is holistic.  It always brings us back to wholeness within ourselves and, hopefully, into a greater sense of peace and communion with all around us. 

This healing paradigm’s foundation assumes that Consciousness, not the physical world is the basis of reality.  I say Consciousness with a “C” because we are talking about the infinite, loving intelligence that creates, communicates with and connects all things.  “C” Consciousness is fundamental to reality and all experience.

You and I and everything that is being right now is a “c” consciousness connected by birth and our sheer existence to the “C” Consciousness.  We are each an integral living part of that infinite whole “C” Consciousness. 

We are never NOT connected to the “C” Consciousness, but we are BEST connected when in our physical bodies we are in a state of heart-brain coherence.  In that state we are sending and receiving clear signals from our “c” consciousness to the “C” Consciousness through the quantum field, that infinite sea of intelligence that unites everyone, everything, everywhere, eternally.

Energy healing invites us into this model of reality, and to become familiar with our non-physical aspects so we can develop and adopt a more meaningful and expansive view of what’s going on in our life.

The “map” of the energy centers and how it helps

One path that never fails to develop greater understanding is the “map” of the human body’s energy centers. 

Called “Chakras” in Eastern mysticism —meaning spinning wheels of light—these are places within the body where nerve plexuses emerge from our spine. 

Within and around the physical body, non-physical energy phenomenologically interacts with and flows in a spiraling pattern, because, well, that’s how energy flows and moves in this electromagnetic universe. (Think about how water spirals down the drain, how the Earth rotates around its axis, how the planets spin around the sun, how the Milky Way is a spiraling vortex, etc.)

What does all this have to do with Mother Energy and why should we care?

Let’s loosen our attachment for a moment to Mothering as an only-physical-world-phenomenon and venture into the very real non-physical or spiritual connections in Consciousness that connect us to our children, our mothers and Mother Energy.

Just imagine…what if there are ethereal (non-physical) umbilical cords that connect us to our biological children, our biological mother, Mother Earth and Mother Energy long after the physical umbilical cord or even physical proximity separates us? 

What if these ethereal cords exist even with our creative projects or whatever we are “giving birth to” in this life?

I believe in them and their energetic qualities, and with the intention of our individual and collective highest and greatest good, I invite you to consider what they might mean to you.

At the root or first energy center, the ethereal cord of Mother Energy is “Darling child, I am your fierce protector.” 

At the sacral or second center it is, “Sweet child, I am your trusted ally.” 

At the solar plexus, the energy is “Honey, I am the one who can empower you like no one else can empower you, because no one else loves you like I love you.”

At the heart center in our chest, the center or our energy anatomy, the ethereal umbilical cord shifts to a more complex relationship: “As I mother myself well, I mother you well and we co-create a more beautiful reality from the heart.”

This journey up the hierarchy of the energy centers in Consciousness calls us to lovingly remove any energies from our individual consciousness that limit us.  That means dissolving self-criticism, self-denial, self-hate, self-diminishment, self-disgust, shame, guilt, self-doubt, self-sabotage and all other habits that limit our self-love.

It calls us to a kind of confident fearlessness that all is well, no matter what.  It summons us to adopt beliefs around our own resilience and that we are supported by infinite, divine, intelligent Love and can handle with grace whatever life presents.

When we do it for ourselves, it helps everyone

The study of relational energetics is so encouraging and uplifting, because it shows that when we expand our consciousness into greater coherent connection with Consciousness (the byproduct of which is almost always greater understanding, self-knowing and peace) we help others become coherent too.

All of this is an invitation to relate to ourselves as our own ideal mother, to allow Mother Energy to move within, through and all around us, to mother our beloveds and even mother of our creative projects…all from a place of heartfelt recognition that we are in a collective womb of sorts, co-creating our individual future, the future of humanity, and the very beingness of this planet. 

In short, when we are calm, relaxed, aware and loving, we change everything for ourselves and everyone.

I imagine this journey to be Mothering invites us to feel more gentleness, compassion, fierce protectiveness of our heart and Soul’s truth, self-trust, self-expression, discernment, non-attachment and at times, radical acceptance. It invites us to embrace and enhance the inherent intelligent healing power of our body, our spiritual gifts and our innate charismatic qualities.

I pray you step into the flow of your life with ease and grace, gliding like water around all obstacles and remembering that you can tune in to the power of sacred Mother Energy that animates and loves you and who is your fierce protector and trusted ally.
